2) The last film I watched: Buffy the Vampire Slayer. There's no beating the original.

STOP: It's Beaver Time!

AIDSWalk 2005-- so awesome.

I got a hat.

Kyan, Ted, and Jai from Queer Eye were there, and Rita Moreno, and Hal Sparks (::drool::), and Judith Light, and Richard Thomas, and we wound up walking behind a troupe of what looked like junior high kids whose school mascot was apparently the beaver, and then there were the kids singing Rent, and Bruce Villanch made the sign language interpreter sign "chlamydia" just to see what it looked like, and I learned the sign for "dream," and there were some kick-ass dancers (http://www.abadacapoeira.org/), and a really neat poet (http://www.jessicacaremoore.net/), and the weather stayed all nice until after we were done, and there was someone with an awesome Share Bear backpack.

Then we went to Nicks and demolished the penne a la vodka.

There's nothing quite like seeing 45,000 people walking through the city together.

I love this city. I really do.

I can't wait for next year.

Does anyone else remember when 2500 words was a ten-page paper? I swear this used to be true: 250 words to a page, give or take; 2500 words, ten page paper. Done. Bing.

Given the last two weeks, I also find it rather unsurprising that I am sick.

I have no idea what this means, but I've seen several signs informing me of this fact.

In other NYC News, seeing the Plaza be closed is really depressing. The flags are down and there are no lights in the Oak Bar or One CPS. Or, for that matter, in most of the rooms. I know it'll be backish and all, but still, it's the Plaza.

And my cab driver tonight was obnoxious. Is it just me, or have the cabbies gotten ruder since the fares went up? The relentless chatter on cell phones is bad enough (it's annoying when you'd like it quiet, and a good number of them don't bother with the hands-free sets), but I swear they used to do things like ask if I minded the radio. This guy not only blasted the radio the minute I got in the cab, but was smoking one of the most odiferous amalgams of tobacco and paper ever concoted. This on a remarkably herky-jerky ride that, rather than take the straight shot down Park, opted of the traffic and manure of Sixth Avenue. It was just unpleasant.

And yet, I still tipped a buck eighty.

I'm out of ice pops. Rats.
